Meet the band

Caleb Munson

Guitar + Baritone

“I was born in Badin, NC, but I spent most of my childhood in Albemarle, North Carolina. I took an interest in music at a very young age. My Grandparents, Donnie and Brenda Munson had a huge impact on me. They used to travel and sing as “The Munson Family”. Some of my earliest memories involved me standing on stage and singing with them. Around the same time, I began to take interest in playing music, especially the guitar! We attended Open Door Baptist Church in Richfield NC. Where I would occasionally get to stand on stage and “play” my guitar! With a loving and supportive family, I had my first guitar by 2 years old. I will always appreciate my parents and my grandparents for funding my music interests. The Lord had laid on my heart in May of 2021, to officially start the band. I am so thankful for the journey it has been! I now attend Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, of Albemarle. Where my dad is the pastor.”

Bailey Wagner

Bass + Lead Vocal

“I was born in Concord, NC, and raised in Rockwell, NC. I’ve been singing in church with my family for as long as I can remember. I was saved at the age of 10, and have never been the same since! I’ve always had a love for music, but I started playing bass when I was 12 years old. I didn’t get involved in bluegrass gospel until I was 19. I  lead the music at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC, where I met my wife Abigail. We have been married since March of 2020, and God has been good to us! I have been singing lead and playing bass with Last Hour since May of 2021.”

Noah Stills

Banjo

“I am from Asheboro, NC. When I was only two years old, my parents heard The Snyder Family Band, and they were immediately inspired. I began playing a 32nd-size fiddle and progressed to a 10th-size. The first song I learned was “Boil Them Cabbage Down” at age 2.  I received my first banjo at 4 years old. After receiving a mini Gold Tone banjo, I quickly fell in love; I knew this was my instrument. I took lessons for many years from Tim Moon, in Asheboro, and progressed at a fast rate.  With my sister playing the fiddle, my Dad on the guitar, and my Mom playing the bass, we created our family band. The Stills Family Band was very fortunate to travel to churches and bluegrass festivals, serving the Lord and meeting so many special people. My favorite professional banjo player is Terry Baucom. In 2020, I had the privilege to take lessons with the “Duke” himself.  I will always cherish that experience. I joined Last Hour Bluegrass in June 2022.  I am grateful to play gospel, and bluegrass music with such a talented group of musicians.”

James Paquette

Resophonic Guitar + Tenor

“I am originally from Greenville, SC, but my family moved to Mexico as missionaries when I was only 8. In order to help raise support for the ministry, my sisters and I were taught by our parents how to sing and play piano in churches across the US. In 2005, my dad bought me my first guitar and mandolin combo for $89.99 and promised that if I stuck with it, we could raise money for something nicer. Included in the Christmas present deal was the privilege to take lessons from Mr. Brady Rochester of the Rochester Family who instilled a true love for bluegrass gospel music in me. By the time I was 17, my parents had moved back to the US and my dad took a position as a pastor in Statesville, NC. In 2013, I was appointed to be the Music Minister of the Calvary Baptist Church of Statesville where I have served the Lord with my wife, Kristen ever since. I have been singing and playing resophonic guitar with Last Hour since September of 2021.”

Nathan Orange

Mandolin + Vocals

“I was born and raised in Mount Airy NC where I currently reside. I’m a fourth-generation musician and I’m thankful for my heritage. I grew up around bluegrass music, but I never took much interest until I was 10. That’s when I picked up the mandolin. For the last decade, I have been blessed to play music with my family, singing and ministering to churches around the country. Recently, I stepped off the road to pursue a career, giving me the opportunity to play with Last Hour. I’m the newest member of the band as of October of 2023. I also serve in the music ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church in China Grove, NC where I am a member. God has been good and I give Him all the glory for the talents He’s given me.”
